Los Angeles – San Francisco 1 day coastal road trip August 25
-
Hi all, I’m Emeric from Sweden and I’ll be travelling around in the United States for a few weeks in August. I plan to go from Los Angeles to San Francisco on August 25 and would love to do a 1 day road trip along the coast, making a few stops at the most beautiful places.
Pros and cons?
+ Once I get comfortable with your company I’m a very fun guy to be around (promise!)
– I don’t have driver’s license, so I can’t help driving (sorry…
)
If this is something you’re interested in, or know where I can get in touch with people, please hit me up!

FYI, that is a very long road trip if you drive all the way up the Pacific Coast Highway. The fast route (inland, boring) takes 6 hours or so. If you drive the PCH it will take close to 10 hours, without major stops (apart from gas and stretch breaks). I’d suggest 2 days for that trip, minimum. You can then see Solvang, Santa Barbara, a few Missions, Hearst Castle, explore Carmel and Monterey, etc, before heading to SF.

I know it’s a long trip, and the reason why I want to do it in one day is beacuse I don’t have the time as I’m flying home from Seattle less than a week later. Id I don’t get to do it I’ll just take the train or bus which isn’t as fun. Doing the PCH I don’t mind if I don’t get to do all of the major stops, only a couple of them would be enough to make me happy.
